The X Walker Part IX

Major update!

This is second to the last update, with only minor refinements and detailing to do before the painting (sigh). I've hit a stumbling block on how to mount the calf pistons to the Walker's legs, and I almost ended up just cementing it altogether without any functionality whatsoever, thus wasting my initial effort. My OC-ness won out in the end, and I made adapters for the ankle joints similar to those i've done for the Chimera's waist mod. These adapters fit perfectly to the red scrap parts.

Not letting anything go to waste, I used the other halves of the Athene's missiles as piston cylinders and made a pair of calf pistons, then used 3mm round beams as rods. These are then mounted to the leg assembly via the adapter I made earlier, which also holds the shin mounts.

For the gatling gun, I used an extra, unused arm part from the BearGGuy (most probably from the base ACGuy) as an insert mount. I then made a female part a from HIPS, then mounted 7 pieces (one in center, 6 in hex arrangement) of 8mm clear pipes to it to simulate an ordinance barrel (similar to that of the G3). This one however, mounts directly to the gatling gun, eliminating the ammo chain. The setup allows the gatling gun to rotate, and the barrels can empty their ordinance to the center one, or something like it.

As for the other weapon, I decided to make a double beam cannon from an extra Strike collar (from the Noir), a couple of 8mm pipes, a couple of smaller diameter pipes as "barrel cores," a few pieces of HIPS, and marker pen caps.

Preview set before the final.

Coming along real great
the only thing that bothers me a bit is the armor no the legs
it seems too bland to just go over some really good detailed parts

Like I mentioned, I'm still not done. Currently detailing it as of this comment.
